    • Club/bar with restaurant for group

      Brussels May 9, 2013 at 7:27 AM

I'm arranging a weekend in Brussels for a group of 12 adults. On the Saturday night I'm trying to find a bar/club that has a restaurant attached to it where we can have something to eat first, then a bit of partying until late. Nothing too pricey/flashy - group age range is late 20's to mid 30's.

Anyone got any recommendations of somewhere suitable? Ideally centrally located (no more than 15 mins walk from Grande Place)

      Belgium Apr 30, 2013 at 4:00 AM

I'm organising a bachelor party to Brussels.

Whilst booking, one of the people I spoke to mentioned a tradition for the groom to wear a badges/pins of some sort on their shirt and they are required to approach woman to ask them to remove them in exchange for something.

I've googled it but not been able to find anything.

Is there such a tradition? Or is someone having a joke with me?

      - at this address, do I have anything to do with red, blue and green zones?
      - at this address, do I have anything to do with the 'bewonerszone' where one would need a parking pass type A?

      Beer Prices in Brugge

We were in Brugge 7 years ago and enjoyed it a lot, and love the beers. We are going again for 5 nights this September. Can any kind member give me an idea of what prices to expect to pay in € for good beers in the well know bars such as Le Garre, Brugs Beertje, Cambrinus etc? I know beer prices often depend on alc% strength, but we would just appreciate some idea so we know how much money to take!! Replies greatly appreciated, thank you! John

      Overnight stay in Brugge

      Brugge Feb 3, 2012 at 11:07 AM

I am travelling to Belgium to stay with friends in the west of the country in the summer. I am considering having an overnight stay in Brugge on the way there, partly to break the journey and also because it is a place that I have always wanted to visit. I will have my 3 children with me aged 14, 11 and 9 and wonder what Brugge has to interest them. I am very easily pleased but my children less so and I do not want cries of "I'm bored" throughout our time there! If Brugge is not a place for kids of that age, I may be better to carry on to our destination. Any advice greatly appreciated.....

What to see that is open on Monday?

      Brugge Sep 21, 2011 at 10:45 AM

My problem is that my 12 hour layover in Brussels is on Monday. I was excited about the prospect of 7 hours in Brugge until I read in the "Rough Guide" book that "everything is closed on Mondays." Are there somethings open that you would recommend that I visit on my walk about the city? Is it still worth the day trip? or is there somewhere else (other than Brussels) I should go as an alternative? Thanks

      Night-time at Brugge?

      Brugge Apr 6, 2010 at 1:27 PM

We are going to Brugge by car in the summer. We were planning to be over night, but now we have started to think, that maybe we could go to Gent for night.Hotels are more expensive at Brugge, and I started to wonder,is there anything special at night-time?I noticed that there is no night-life-tips at VT at all. I don´t mean nightclubs or anything"wild",but would we miss anything,if we would come in the morning, and leave before dark? Sometimes we have been n very lovely and romantic town a day (like Rothenburg ob der Tauber) and when we like to go eat late at night, there has been only 2-3 restaurants open, and whole town so quiet, that it would have been the same if we would have slept at another town.
