    • Moving to The Hague

The Hague Apr 24, 2013 at 9:03 AM

I am moving to The Hague in June. I have tried to find information online but I find them a bit confusing. Some seem just very old. Then I decided to look for a recent guidebook on the Hague because I thought that maybe it was worth spending a little bit of money to have uptodate information since I am going to spend there at least 6 month (I am moving there for an internship at the ICC (btw anyone else is going there in the same period?).
But I had not luck. I have found only guidebooks either on Amsterdam or to the Nethterlands in general (which according to the index it has only 6/7 pages at most). Is it possible that there is not guidebook specific to The Hague yet? Or it is just me that can't find it?
Any info on the subject and from people moving to The Hague is appreciated.

I have a somewhat complicated tourist visa issue, will I be allowed back into the Netherlands?

      Netherlands May 6, 2013 at 3:02 AM

I have a flight booked to the Netherlands tomorrow and I noticed a problem when I looked at my passport stamps...So my fiance' and I originally went to Spain for a transatlantic cruise back to the United states. We stopped in Amsterdam for a connecting flight and my passport was stamped in the Netherlands on 10/31/12. We then took our cruise from Spain and went back to the U.S. Now, on December 18th I returned to The Netherlands for vacation and at the customs desk they said that my passport was never stamped entering or leaving Spain, which made it appear like I had been in the country for that entire period. Instead of stamping my passport as entering again, they left it as it was (as if I had originally entered the country on 10/31/12.) I left the Netherlands on 2/10/13.

If you look at my passport stamps it shows only the 2 dates, entering 10/31/12 and leaving on 2/10/13. In reality I have not been in the country for the entire 90 day visa, and if you look at the stamps alone it seems as though I was there exceeding the 90 day period.

I know I will have trouble trying to get back into the Netherlands again, but I am hoping that there is a way they can look up my passport flight/travel history, or even confirm with the Royal Caribbean cruise line that I left the country and took a cruise back to the U.S. I will be staying in the Netherlands for 10 days this visit, which would still be within my 90 day period if all the confusion is cleared up. Can somebody please tell me if I will be able to enter the country still?
