Yes, if you will be in san jose, check out the central market. It is a huge open market that has every souvenir you will ever need. You just ask any taxi driver for "el mercado central" and they'll take you there. The prices are good too, and they are used to bartering. Last time, I got a beautiful350 painting for280.
