Do there still do a daily trip to Havana from Cayo Coco and return as a tourist. I did the rip about 5 years ago fully escorted?
Kind Regards

Hi There, I am going to Cuba for the first time in December and was wondering if you are able to visit Havana easily. Would you recommend organising before I go or once I get there? Has anyone gone on the Jeep Safaris? Do people recommend their "Swimming with Dolphins" programme? Thanks all.
We are travelling to your hotel on the 14th June we are really looking forward to our first stay with you. Please could you tell us if you have wifi facilities at your hotel. Also could we please request a top floor room with a nice view of the sea. Looking forward to seeing you soon Diane and Maurice Branch.
We're going to the Blau Colonial in March and have been hearing and reading conflicting stories about tipping and gifting the staff. Some say do it generously and regularly, others say that the country may seem poor but that the staff in the resorts are not because of the generous volume of tips they receive. I've never been to an all inclusive resort and want to do the right thing, but don't want to just throw money around either. My sister said that she tips at the end of her trips and when she stayed in Cayo Coco (different resort) that her service quickly dwindled because she wasn't tipping as she went along. Also, how much is recommended to tip? I've heard one peso per day/service, but I've also heard that's not enough. What's a girl to do???? Thanks!
Wondering if anyone else is looking to drive to Havana from Cayo Coco On Jan 18th afternoon email me if you would like to share transportaion rachelprendergast@hotmail.com
Why is Blau not listed in the list or resorts in Cayo Coco. I wanted to put up a review but seems that all resorts are listed except Blau. Am I missing something here?
Hi We are off to Sol Cayo Guillermo in Jul/Aug (from UK) and wondered what is best currency to take as some websites sat Euros and some dollars, also does the hotel exchange travellers cheques? What would be the best gifts to take for staff? Can anybody recommend any of the daytrips? Many Thanks Rachael
Hi, I travelled to Sol Cayo Guilermo in 2009 and we stayed in the row of ground floor aprtments, which were near the wedding bandstand/cocktail bar/backed on to beach. the back doors looked out to sea, to the left was the wedding bandstand, to the right was the coktail bar - can anyone tell me what the number room is as my parents going to stay and want them to ask for it.

I'm off to Hotel Melia Cayo Coco with my partner 21 January, and I want to do some fishing although it's not purely a fishing holiday. I've never done anything like this sort of fishing before. I've read the query from juneboulton (25oct10) and the reply from ozzb1 (05nov10). Both should now be back from their recent trips. I'd appreciate anything they could add to ozzb1's helpful suggestions, based on their recent experiences, and of course anything that any other member would care to offer. I intend to take an 8-wt 9' fly rod (plus poss 6-wt for backup in case of accident) with pike/bass type flies and a 10' spinning rod with poppers and possibly other stuff. Suggestions would be appreciated re: - terminal tackle for bait fishing, braided line vs monofil, and what sort of strength, obtaining dead bait, etc - landing net? - getting to other nearby 'well worth it' locations including inland channels and lagoons, bridges on causeways - up-to-date info on boat trips and guides for shore fishing (but I can't spend a lot) - can you get caught fish cooked at the hotel and, assuming you do well, can you give fish to the hotel kitchen and or individual local people? - what about mosquitoes and other precautions/risks while fishing, in addition to the obvious sun exposure I hope juneboulton and ozzb1 and respective partners had really good trips.
My partner and I are off to Cayo Coco on the 5 dec, we are only going for a week unfortunately, but wanting to find some good things to do with our time and not really finding a lot through the internet, so hoping some people with experience will help us out! We really want to go to Havana but found out its an overnight stay, or is there a other way of getting there? Are there any good sugar cane trips or cigar factory trips, or anything fun also
We are off to cuba the end of November and my husband is an avid fisherman. Can anyone give us any advice on the fishing in cayo coco - best places to go/best people to ask/who to fish with. What have people caught in Cayo Coco. Any relies would be appreciated.

Never been to the Carribean before and I know naturist beaches are common place in Santa Maria and Largo. Trouble is these islands are sooo difficult to get to from the UK! Are there any naturist beaches on Cayo Guillermo or Coco? Are these fairly common place or does one have to hike several miles to get to them? Thanks
Any tips on trips or traps re: visiting Havana from Cayo Coco? My husband & I are staying at the Sol Melia Cayo Coco next summer, & are keen to visit Havana. I would like to know mode of transport...eg. plane? coach? legnth of journey? approx costs etc?
Hey, we are four people going to Cuba in January and we want to go direct to Cayo Coco from Havana. Does anyone know how to get from Havana to Cayo Coco? Have checked Viazul (http://www.viazul.cu) but they have no direct route to Cayo Coco (I think the nearest stop is Ciego de Avila). We have also considered rental car, but are unsure of price and availability in the period that we intend to go. Thanks. BR Kenneth
Hi guys Me and my boyfriend are heading to Cayo Coco end of August/early September. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what the weather would be like? Thank you
If I book a hotel in the cayos, how do I get from Habana to the hotel? Did anyone rented a car? Anyone with experience going around the beaches on their own?
What internet services are provided at Sol Cayo Guillermo? I am looking at going this August. I need to be able to access the internet from my laptop. Temporary access is fine but everything, all my passwords etc are on my laptop so using their machines would not be appropriate for me. Thanks a lot :-)
Hello, I am going to cayo guillimero in may, I am stopping at caribe club cojimar and I have a few questions. I would be very gratefull if anyone could help with some of them. I understand you have to pay 25cuc to leave the country, do you have to pay anything to enter the country? What is the average weather in degrees? What trips are there to do and roughly how much are they? How do I book trips through Thomas cook online? (I cant seem to see a link for cayo guillimero trips on there website) How much is it to fly all inclusive with drinks etc? (due to my partner liking a good drink whilst flying, and I also cant seem to see a link for this). What is the evening entertainment like (truthfully)? And finally is anyone else going there in may? I would be very grateful for any replies or answers. Thanks in advance.
