Hiya I plan 2-3 weeks low budget escapade in Cuba this year (16th November - 3rd December) all the way down to Santiago de Cuba, including 3/4 days trekking in Sierra Maestra (Comandancia la Plata - Pico Turquino / Pico de Cuba trail to Las Cuevas). Just wonder now if there’s anyone having similar plans i.e. willing to join me en route or has recently done this, so I could gather some useful info regarding the accomodation, logistics & arrangements necessary to organize it in Bayamo / Villa Santo Domingo? Any advice & suggestions are very welcomed :) Cheers, Damian, UK
I wonder if the area around El Pico is open now to hikers? I realize when open it is with escort.Has anyone made this trek lately? Thanks
We will be returning to Marea on Dec 1st. While there last year, Manuel said he needed a tire and tube for his sons bike. I'm thinking it was 20". If anyone is coming or going before we do, please advise.
