Hi. I'm looking to rent an apartment in Montreal next summer and am wondering what the best neighborhoods are in terms of access to the Metro, dining, shopping, stuff to do, etc? I've seen a couple of nice rentals online but some of them seem like they're kind of out-of-the-way and that's not what we're looking for. Thanks!
If you're just there for the summer and don't mind the dorm setting, McGill rents out its residence halls in the summer to the public: mcgill.ca/students/housing/s... The Plateau neighborhood is likely where you want to be. Close to the metro, but tons of bars, restaurants and shops. McGill is on the edge of the neighborhood.
