Northern Ranger into Labrador

by jonellis Online Now Jan 7, 2013 at 6:25 PM

Is there anyone that has been on the Labrador trip of the Northern Ranger? We would like to know more about the trip along the coast of Labrador and what is offered by the Ship Northern Ranger such as food and accomodations along that route. If someone has taken that vessel we would like to contact them. We would like to hear from someone that ACTUALLY has done that.

Seeing Labrador by personal car is the best! You don't need tour guides or expensive boats. Just fly into Deer Lake, rent a car, get on the ferry at St. Barb and drive to the end. It's best to have made some sleeping arrangements unless you are camping. Red Bay is a must!!! When driving, keep to the right as you may need to watch for a car every half-hour or so. Loved this trip, taken with my Granson several yrs earlier. Going back this year too.

Sorry Sophiejo, you should read the whole question. She said she does not drive a car at all. Yes you are correct, driving is the only way to see the whole Province, but if someone does not drive, it cannot be done that way. I believe that is the reason she wanted to go on the Northern Ranger. .
