hello all, I don't have any idea where to stay & what to do (aside from surfing) in La Union. I only have 1 day & 1 night to spare before proceeding to Vigan (from Alaminos, Pangasinan) and i can't decide whether to stay at Bauang, San Fernando or San Juan. suggestions pls. clarice

If you're going surfing, go straight to San Juan. Any resort there are priced reasonably. Food trip at San Juan Surf is quite good (or maybe I was just too hungry after surfing?) Be safe!
