place to rent for a year for under 14,000/month that is safe and close to stations

Boracay Island May 24, 2013 at 6:09 PM

Hello everyone, anyone know of any decent places to rent for a year that would be under 14,000/month that is safe and close to the stations that is preferrrably walking distance to the beach?

from what ive seen so far, everything is furnished. i was considering moving my things there from manila but not quite sure if i'll be able to find an unfurnished place. but thats fine if i cant find an unfurnished place. i will make arrangements to have my things stored somewhere in manila until i figure out if i will stay in boracay permanently or until i set up the business and its up and running on its own and i can leave and come back as i please.

i also will need internet speed of at least 1+ mb/s for my work using skype and internet phone calls. any suggestions on who to use? ive been contemplating using the smart pocket wifi but not quite sure if that would be the best option. any idea on which is best and what the cost is and the normal speed they give?

i will be going to boracay within the next 2 weeks to scout out places to live and to ask locals these same questions but would love to have a couple answers before going there so i have something to work off of.

would be great if anyone living there can assist me on my mission.

      thank you guys!

I saw what virtually_cd posted a year ago for parasailing & helmet-diving: Php650/person. I was hoping you can tell  / give me any contact no./details of the service providers who offer those rates? All I can see online are 1.8K-2K per person now which is too much IMO. Thanks everyone!

    • Boracay Late August- Yay or Nay?!

Boracay Island Jul 25, 2012 at 10:49 PM

My partner and I are contemplating going to Boracay for 4 days this August, around the 24th for our anniversary! We really just want to relax, chill by the beach and see what other outdoorsy things we can fit in. I've heard that it's typhoon season so not the best time to go, however is it feasible to go given the lower tourist foot traffic and cheaper rates-- Is the weather really that bad? We don't want to be confined to our room the whole time, though wouldn't be put off a bit of swimming in light rain or on/off sun. Would appreciate all your advice! Thanks in advance, BoraK

    • Pls help me plan our Boracay trip

Boracay Island Jul 7, 2012 at 3:18 PM

Hi everyone, My husband and I are planning a trip to Boracay late November (25th onward). We're not crazy-adventurous but like to try new things and have fun. Based on what we've read, we think we'll go for snorkeling, banana boat ride, island hopping, visit to crystal cove cave. How many days do we need to do all that? I was thinking 3d-2n but am not sure if that's enough. For example, will the island hopping include the visit to the crystal cove cave or are they separate? Can anyone be so kind as to break down estimated duration for those activities mentioned? Any other activities we should try? Thanks much! Menchie

Boracay Island Jun 7, 2012 at 5:13 AM

Hi, I am hopefully moving to Boracay where I will be able to work from the beautiful Island. However I need fast reliable DSL (At least 1 mbps)internet for my work. Does anybody know how easy it is to get DSL internet in Boracay, and how fast it is in reality. Not the advertised speed. (And the cost if possible) I am currently in Palawan and the Smart wireless internet speed sucks and neither Globe nor PLDT are not laying any more DSL lines here in the near future. Thanks a lot David

Boracay Island May 15, 2012 at 3:37 AM

Hi, I am thinking about relocating to live in Boracay and would like to know the closest cinema. I already know Boracay has amazing things to offer but would just like to know where I need to go to be able to visit a cinema. I know the Island does not have a cinema. I looked online at the Gaisano mall in Kalibo but this has now closed I think. Would the closest cinema be in Iloilo? Thanks a lot
