Hi. I am a student from Switzerland and looking for a summer (2005) job in Providence or all Rhode Island. Who has some suggestions? THANKS

Summertime in Rhode Island means lots of tourists in the southern part of the state where the larger beaches are. Newport explodes with tourists. Jamestown, Block Island and Wickford also very lively. You might try visiting one of these communities or contacting some of the businesses on-line. Federal Hill in the city is busy year round on weekends. Restaurant work is always a good bet for students. Rhode Islanders love their restaurants. Also...don't know if they do seasonal hiring, but I heard that Verizon and American Power Conversion might be good bets. Good luck!
