As with all European city cards, it all depends on how many of the free or discounted entrances etc you personally will use. You need to explore what is on offer and then compare the card cost with the actual entrance fees for places you will definitely visit: http://www.praguecard.biz/ You can find entrance fees by googling for official sites such as: hrad.cz/en/prague-castle/pra... I've visited Prague twice and found no need to buy the card as I did not wish to visit most of the places it lists. But that's just me...

yes, it is very practical! It costs just 15 euro for bus, tram and metro! But i prefer rent a car in Prague, cos it is cheap and comfortable. Traffic is not very intensive and i have favorite rent-a-car with cheap and clean cars with automatic ransmission. This is RUNWELL rent-a-car in Prague.

Welcome to Vt, Anna. The poster is not talking about a transport card. The Prague Card has a transport element but also includes free or discounted entrances to some sights/sites. Imo, it is absolutely unnecessary to rent a car in Prague. The hassle of city driving and finding parking, and the cost of the latter, makes using public transport a much better option, as it is in the majority of large European cities.
