Several years ago, my wife and I did the Bateaux Mouche (sp?) dinner river trip in Paris, and now we're going to Prague for 5 days. I've scoped out potential river tours in Prague, and have zeroed in on the Jazz Boat - it seems to be the only one that offers a sit-down dinner (not buffet), and I'm a jazz fan, so that's a plus. I'm sure there are better dinners to be had, and better jazz to be heard, but that aside, can anybody tell me if the ambience makes up for that. Maybe I'm being too cynical - hope somebody can give me some advice. Thanks
I did not take that boat (or any dinner boat) so can not comment on the quality. However the river tour should be very nice as the historical center is around the river and the Castle is on the hill. These are iluminated in the evening and will look great later in the evening. Also there are nice hills and some clifs on route. The boats in Prague do not use on-board flood lights as in Paris, so you see the city as it is. You will take trip trough the locks to the city suburbs and back. Boat starts right in the old city.
