I'm interested in finding out the best and fastest way, by train, from Prague to Kutna Hora and back again later in the day. We want to see the bone church and the cathedrals and the town center. We don't mind walking, but there are so many different thoughts on line about the best way to get there and back.... We will be going there on a Sunday, I don't know if that makes a difference. Many people posted about getting on the wrong train coming back to Prague, I'm trying to avoid wasting time by getting on the wrong train! Thianks in advance for the help!
My notes say that we took a train from Prague's main station, Hlavni Nadrazi to Kutna Hora hl.n. From there you can walk to the bone church, about 10 minutes on foot. From the bone church to Kutna Hora's center where the silver mine and church are, we walked but it was not a short walk. You might be able to take the short train ride from one to the other or there's a bus listed on the bone churches website Here are my notes (they are a couple of years old so check the train line link for current times and prices) Kutna Hora Transportation Tips by Dabs And here's the info on the tourist bus from the bone church to the center of town ossuary.eu/index.php/en/tour...

Hi, I think you can first simply take a look on the train numbers, before you board to wrong train :) I suggest you see the schedule with trains, numers, duration from Ceske drahy (Czech railways) site, type in Praha, arrival to Kutna hora, then see the result for Saturdays: http://www.cd.cz/default.htm Train number is always indicated on a platforms of the railways. I think it's also on the ticket when issued by staff from the counter. It's all very simple, everything is well marked, and lots of people use train to KH when in Praha. Don't worry.
