I can personally recommend the excellent U Medvidku, about 10 mins walk from Prague Central (Hlavni Nadrazi) station (if that is what you mean by 'main station'? Prague also has Holosevic, which is a 'main station'). It meets your other criteria too: Prague Hotel Tips by leics I booked it through www.booking.com, a thoroughly reliable site with good rates used by many Vt-ers. I suggest you have a look what's on offer there whilst you wait for other suggestions; you don't pay booking.com anything as long as you turn up.

We stopped at Hotel Palace (www.vi-hotels.com/palace/). Because Prague is a small and walkable city, we were able to walk to every major and minor tourist sight in town. The grand and wonderful Wenceslas Square is just around the corner; many architectural styles are represented around the square. The Mucha Museum (www.mucha.cz) is directly across the street from the hotel, located in the New Town section. The service here is excellent, the staff is professional. The rooms are clean; ours, on the seventh floor, had a view of Castle Hill. Although WiFi service was not an issue in 2001, the year of our visit, the web site should tell you if it is offered (so many hotels do these days). There is also an excellent restaurant located within the hotel. They were able to satisfy me, a long-time vegetarian in a heavily meat-eating country, on short notice. You cannot go wrong staying at the Palace! Enjoy Praha, a fabulous gem, where we yearn to return.
