We're planning to get second class railpasses. Some of our journeys (e.g., Prague to Budapest) are over 7 hours long. Is it possible to have a second class pass but purchase an individual upgrade to first class for a few of our journeys? Thanks for your help. Cathy
Try posting in the Prague Forum, Cathy, you will get a much better response. :o) forum.virtualtourist.com/4/f...

I do not exactly know what the "second class pass" is but normally when you buy a second class ticket you can upgrade it later, very often also in trains. For exemple when you get into the to train and you see the second class is too full and you decide to go to the first class, you can buy a first class upgrade from the conductor. There should be no problem. You can ask directly the CDrail (www.cdrail.cz, email DCN@CDcentrum.cd.cz)
