Hi everyone: I'll be in Prague for the very first time on April 24th and 25th with my parents. Only 2 nights, but it's better than nothing. I can't wait to see Prague! My step-dad is an avid jazz listener, and I would love to treat him (and mom) to a spectacular event while we're there. Can anyone recommend a fantastic jazz club? Also, to see a classical concert, where do we go? I don't mind expensive places -- I just want my parents to have a memorable night experiencing good music. Thank you for your help!
There's very good jazz - usually in basement bars - all over Prague. Check out one of the local listing papers when you're there. I heard an excellent Brazilian singer at "U Stare Pane," which is at 9 Michalska. (Michalska) runs off to the south from the Old Town Hall.)

Great jazz and classical music in Prague. Louis Armstrong is a folk legend in Czechia. Check ticketpro.cz for performers, dates, venues, and ticket info. For classical stay away from St. Nicholas shurch in old town square. The aqoustics are poor. Try Bertramka on Mozartova Road or Estates Theater in old town.

Hi ! For classical concerts I may recommend the Municipal Hall next to the famous Powder Tower. It should be on your itinerary anyway for the Art Nouveau architecture and maybe the famous cafe. The concert is inside a beautiful Art-Nouveu-hall. But you will see, Prague is a place with concerts at every corner... See more on my Prague-page !
