Hi, We're going to Prague from 7 to 13th december and I was wondering if there is a christmas market there and ifso, when it begins and where it is? And I would also like to know what the common temperature is for that period of the year and if it rains a lot in that period... Greetings, Jacey
We went to Prague at about that time last year and it was magical. The Christmas Markets are everywhere and the smell of hot wine is irresistable. There was a littleice rink set up in the main square and a nice festive atmosphere . . . and it didn't rain, but one day . . .it SNOWED. Perfect Christmas. Loved it so much we revisited in July.

No rain in Prague that time of year. Only snow and sleet. Prague has cold winters. You can get detailed weather data for any city from yahoo / weather or other sites. Have a good trip.

hi, xmas markets begin in prague on 4th december, i'm going on 27th nov so will just miss them :-(

i went dec 10th last year,average temperature 0 degrees-wear layers because every shop/cafe/ restaurant is well heated.the markets are great,big one in the old town.the iced gingerbread is wonderful-we ate ours in the hotel and had to go back for more to take home! for research purposes try the hot wine or grog,the smell alone will draw you to try it safe travelling dollycon
