ferry from pozzuoli to ischia

We will be staying in Pozzuoli in hopes of taking a ferry or hydrofoil to the island of Ischia for an overnight stay. (Travelling May 14 & 15/2011) My question is what do we do with the rental car? Will there be an overnight parking lot at the port in Pozzuoli and is it safe to leave it there? Also, do you have any recommedations regarding lodging, restaurants, activities when in Ischia?
