I will be in Albert this Sunday and want to visit Pozieres and especially the cemetery, where my great uncle is buried. I am coming by train so will have to rely on public transport. I am happy to walk but how far is Pozieres from Albert? How long do you think it will take me? There is an option of taking a private tour from Albert but it's quite expensive. How easy would it be to get a taxi?
Google maps tells me that Pozieres is 7.2km or 10 minutes drive from Albert.

There are no buses so it's the walk or a taxi from Albert.

yes unfortunately you have to take a taxi as walking 7 kms is a bit long even for a walker like me. Car is king in that area, nice places thus. Are you staying in Albert? maybe your hotel can help you book the trip. This is the city of Albert authorise taxis, you will be ok with any ville-albert.fr/fr/index.php... hope it helps
