I have to go from Schönefeld airport, the new Berlin Brandenburg International Airport (BBI), to Potsdam, in Germany. Could you please suggest some public transportation ways and their approximate costs how to get there? Thanking you in advance :)
Schönefeld is the old airport, BBI (or later: BER) won't open before 3rd of June. For connections to Potsdam (that's quite a trip) best consult the "Journey Planner" on bvg.de/index.php/en/index.ht... Both Potsdam and Schönefeld are situated in the "C" zone, which would translate into 3 EUR one way or 6.80 EUR for a day-pass.

Before 3rd June SXF, afterwards BER. VBB timetable vbbonline.de/start.php?id_la... From: SXF From: BER To: Postdam Hbf (S) The direct trains are EUR 2,70 (single ticket Berlin BC). The connections through central Berlin are EUR 3,00 (single ticket Berlin ABC). With either ticket you can proceed in Potsdam by tram or bus to your final destination.

If you're going to stay in and around Berlin for a few days and plan on using the railway network you might find it useful ( and even cheaper) to buy a welcome card from the airport to get you to Potsdam. I thought Potsdam was a really great town. Don't miss out on SansSouci Park. Best wishes, Mike

Cafés and restaurants will stay open longer of course. Normally shops are open 10am - 8pm, but in Potsdam's case... more
