What is the closest airport to Portofino? Also, can you reccomend a hotel on the water that is not600 a night?
For hotels, check out Santa Margherita Ligure, the next town over maybe 3 km. We have stayed several times at the Grand Hotel Miramare on our pages which is the most expensive in town and well below the number you mentioned. But SML has hotels in all price ranges. Also it is cheaper - much - to eat well. The closest airport would be Genoa, but I can't help with that airport. SML is on the direct train from Genoa.
