Hello, my son is going to have an interview at OHSU. My questions are: 1) What neighborhood is OHSU located? We are thinking about bidding for a hotel room online, but don't know which neighborhood(s) should we check from the list. 2)Does anyone have recommendation for inexpensive stay near OHSU and with convenient public transportation to/from OHSU? Thanks.
Downtown would probably be your best bet. The neighborhood along the river near OHSU is mostly industrial with some redeveloped residential. There may be a B&B there but nothing very cheap. From Downtown, you can take the Portland Streetcar south to the South Waterfront station, and take the Portland Aerial Tram up the hill to OHSU.
