KA BOOM, or "My dayt trip to Mount St. Helen's"

So the mountain is steaming now and I was thinking of coming over in the next week to scope it out. Any pointers of finding a vantage point by car or hiking trails? Looking forward to seeing the wonderful green trees! Only strip clubs and asphalt in Houston.
