I will be on a cruise and arriving at Port Said on Sunday, 11th November. I have been to Cairo and visited the Museum, seen The Pyriamids, had a meal on the Nile and now want to do something different. Can anybody suggest anything, especially as it's a Sunday!
Since Friday is the Holy day in Egypt Sunday shouldn't bother you. And even than: Egypt is alive 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Port Said seems to be a nice city, although I have never been there. It is on the entrance of the Suez canal from the Mediteranean Sea, so it can be quite spectacular to see the big ships passing by. Or maybe Alexandria could be an option. Enough to do in a day: the Great Library, the Fort Qait Bay, Pompeys Pillar, Kom al Shufaga catacombs, the Alexanria National Museum, Montaza Gardens, Kom al Dikka, very good seafood!
