Please help, I am looking for a trip for my family and myself to Knysna from Port Elizabeth in december. I am unable to find anything with the tourist coach through spoornet because the site is not usre friendly, please advise. thanks marty
There is no direct railway line between Port Elizabeth and Knysna. See: http://www.premierclasse.co.za/map.html The line from George to Knysna is still closed at the moment.

Hi Marty. Have you considered hiring a car and driving to Knysna? The Garden Route is so pretty roads are fine, and its not a long trip at all. Can Easily be done in 5-6 hours, Scenery is wonderful along the way.

Marty I agree with the other replies, in that there is no train service, and using own transport is perhaps the best option. There is another option which you may want to consider, and that is to travel by bus. Try www.translux.co.za or www.intercape.co.za Whichever way you go, enjoy the trip. Faure Cape Town
