I´m turning 30 in November and want to go somewhere really nice. How´s the weather there then and is it a ghost town at that time?

No Port isn't a ghost town in November, it will start to quiten down after Christmas.
There will still be people there, at the pubs, clubs etc.All things will be open and running, trips to the reef etc go everyday of the year, unless the weather is really bad!!
The weather is getting hot and more humid as the weeks go by. 31C today with 65% humidity. Bloody perfect:)
So come November it will be still hot and more humid. You could get a bit of rain, but remember it doesn't get cold here when it rains:)

The only thing that is a no no at this time of year is swimming at the beaches, unless you swim within the netted area. As it is stinger season. BUT that isn't really a problem as you can top up your tan at the swimming pool where you stay. Most, if not all, accommodation places have pools.
Check out wotif.com.au for some good bargains on acccommondation. Like everywhere, the season has been up and down here and accommodation places are having some good deals. If you book at a travel agent, ( I wouldn't) make sure you get a really good deal.
    Happy 30th Birthday...for November:)
