Just looking for good dive recommendations in Port Douglas. Prefer smaller groups of experienced divers.
We just did both Quicksilver and Haba Dive (http://www.quicksilver-cruises.com and http://habadive.com.au/) and of those two I definitely preferred Haba Dive because they were smaller. They also went to two different dive locations, which was nice. Let me know if you have more specific questions!

I really recommend a live-aboard to get out to the nicer sites. I dove with Taka.

I highly recommend Poseidon, we used them during our visit in 2002 and had a great time since it was a small group and at least half of the people on board were very experienced divers. The price was quite competitive too. We did three dives in the one day trip. Here is their link: diving-australia.com/Poseido... If you have lots of money to spend, I highly recommend a live-aboard dive trip with Mike Ball. We did their 4 night, 5 day dive trip to Cod Hole, sailing from Cairns with a low-level flight from Lizard Island back to Cairns as part of our honeymoon. You see heaps more of the reef and can do up to 5 dives per day (most people did 3-4). The service on board is amazing! If you have flexibility, try doing it on last minute stand-by rates, which can be half-price. Don't expect the best cabin on board if you do that, but all of the accommodation on board is nice.
