My husband and I visited Pompei 3 years ago and are returning this summer (yes, in the heat) but this time would like to have a tour guide. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to find a good (but not too expensive) guide? we will be in a group of 6 adults.
Ciao! There are licensed guides outside the entrance that charge (if I remember correctly ) ~35/40 euros per hour. It's the same price no matter how many people take the tour (usually up to 8 people. At least that's what they told me. We didn't use them so I'm not sure. how many end up in a group. The tours lasts about 2 hours. If you are six, you may be able to talk them into doing just your group if you prefer that. Cristina
