We staying in Plovdiv and would like to travel to Burgas for two nights arriving at the Aqua Hotel in Burgas on 06-06-2010 and staying for two nights then returning to Plovdiv on 08-06-2010 How much will the train tickets costs and what is the time schedule? Thank You, Christine Christensen
The price depends on the train. For instance the 08.34 departure from Plovdiv will cost 26.05 leva return 2nd class. If you want a reserved seat it will cost another 50 stotinki. You'll find the schedules and prices at www.bdz.bg which has an "English" option. If you buy a return ticket (which is the cheapest option) you need to present the return portion at the Burgas ticket office to get the ticket for the return journey.

Hi, Christine, Please visit razpisanie.bdz.bg/SearchServ... you will find all details about rates. Choose a fast or an express train, although a little bit more expensive, but train standard is much better. Enjoy the train ride!

PS - If you buy a return ticket then that is valid for any train on the return leg. You have to get it made train-specific at the ticket office before you come back.

If it's September I'd leave booking anything until maybe August that way you'll get potentially good deals for good... more
