Hi! Im going to dubrovnik for about a week in july. i would really want to visit the Plitvicka Jezera National Park, but im not sure how thats gonna work. does anyone know how long a bustrip like that will take, and can I get to plitvicka with bus from dubrovnik? Hope anyone have an answer:-) Emily
Bast is to first take the bus to Split. There you can take a bus to Plitvicka. See the Split bus station for more info: http://www.ak-split.hr/EN/index.html

Currently there appears to be only one direct Dubrovnik-Plitvice bus daily and it passes Plitvice at the very inconvenient time of 03.35 am. It's possible that there will be more direct options in July, but if not, as the previous reply said, go to Split and change there. Currently there are 3 Split-Plitvice buses daily but again there may be more in July. In total you're looking at 10 hours or more of travel one way, so if you have to return to Dubrovnik to fly home, you're going to be spending a lot of your time on buses. Another option might be to fly Dubrovnik-Zagreb with Croatia Airlines - Plitvice is about 2.5 hours by bus from Zagreb and those buses are reasonably frequent.
