I begin my visit to Croatia in September, arriving from Dublin into Dubrovnik for 4 nights. Then on to Split by bus for 2 nights and might take a day tour. Then plan going on to Plitvice National Park either on escorted tour or by bus if its possible. I will then need to get from Plitive or nearest point by bus or ferry to Pula and need guidance on the best route for this part of journey, and maybe suggestions for overnight stops for next 3 nights before reaching Pula. Might spend a night Porec if close enough. I will look for private accommodation but have booked hotel in Pula to be near the airport for return to Dublin. Thank you.
Buses Split to Plitvice (Plitvicka Jezera) are frequent, you don't need to take an organized tour. From Plitvice take a bus to Rijeka. You can stop by in Opatija town (west Rijeka outskirts) and than proceed to Pula by bus. In Istria don't miss Rovinj north of Pula (bus), the most beautiful town there (IMO).

Hi Recommend you lokk through pages on Plitvice, there is much information on these pages. We went on a tour bus , very easy, the park is fabulous, it most likely will be warm in the park if you are going early Sept, we went early Oct and there was ice on the ground early morning near the entrance. Good Luck, Mike
