We're planning to stay in Las Palmas for a week over New Year. Two questions:
1) What part of the city is the best place to stay in? I assume it will be too cold to actually go swimming, but maybe it's still a good idea to stay close to Las Canteras? Basically, we want to stay in an active neighborhood, with lots of people moving around both day and night (restaurants, bars, and shopping). Is the old town better? Or somewhere else?
2) What does people do on New Years eve? Are there any gala dinners, big parties etc we can sign up for?
On 5th February I will already be in Las Palmas, and am due to meet a passenger arriving on P & O's "S.S. Oceana" due there that day. Can someone please give me the full address of a landmark building in the street network of Las Palmas that's close to the Berth used for visiting P & O line Cruise Ships ?
Hi there everyone.
I am thinking of going to Gran Canaria for my 50th in November.I like to have things to do like shopping and being in the hustle and bustle of things not far from the complex .I tend to get bored very quickly of just sitting around the pool all day like hubby and sometimes take myself off on a solo shopping trip .Would you be good enough to recommend a resort and possibly a good 4/5 * hotel (poss with entertainment) please that you think would suit me.
Thank you very much in advance :D
