Unlike in Havana I dont know Santiago de Cuba.
Which are the central or best areas to look for a casa to stay ? i prefer the real old and beautiful areas over sea side or modern places.
Can you kindly assist ?
Also - any special local p[laces to eat ?
Culture - what to see ? where to have a night drink ?
Any shows that i could search for ?
Many thanks !
Two families of 4 travelling to Cuba for March Break (kids 13 & 16). Wanting to do a budget friendly vacation. Thinking of staying in Varadero. On Trip Advisor, one poster, stated the older part of Varadro has the best beaches, ending at Hotel Bella Costa, as compared to the newer end of Varadero by the peninsula. Do you agree??? Is there a difference along the Varadero beach??? In addition, Hotel Bella Costa (also known as Breezes Bella Costa) is very affordable, but sounds old and tired but with amazing beaches. My friend is also looking at Ocean Varadero El Patriarca (on peninsula), it sounds like it has a nicer hotel, but is the beach the same?? Comments and advise appreciated. Thanks!!
I have booked flights for 50 years and found it difficult to get a flight from The Bahamas into and out of Cuba. Because my ip address is in US, some flight info sites like Kayak, etc don't have any flights available. Even working other sites or even Bahamasair, I cannot see flights that I know are available.
New to VT. Planning a trip to Cuba in March -arrival, departure in Havana. one week, including travel days. We want to scuba dive one day. Any suggestions? Is it best to stay in Havana and do day trips? or Start in Havana, rent a car or driver to other cities and then end back in Havana for departure?
