Hi VTers, What's the best way to get to Playa Del Carmen from Cancun airport? We're travelling with an 8 mo old baby. Also do you recommend anything that we should do and see? What's the best place to snorkel? Chichen Itza is also on our list. We're staying in an all inclusive resort in PDC for 8 nights. Thanks!
Take either the shared buses which can be picked up at the airport as you exit the customs area and just before you leave the building. This is the best and easiest way to go. Or take a taxi which will only be for your party. I am not sure of the costs to PDC since I never travel there from the airport directly. And of course there is always car rental. As for places to snorkel try Xel Ha which is an ideal place south of PDC. Dont forget Tulum as well. Keep in mind that Chichen Itza and Tulum have no shade at all for the baby or adults that matter and they get very hot.

Going from the airport to CDP should have a shuttle or taxi to go directly to the hotel. Probably about 20 bucks each way. Snorkel in any of the coves, I feel they are all the same. Best to go on a scuba trip and snorkel. The resort travel desk can put together package deals for you cheers tommy x
