are stores open on labor day
Hallo, we will stay 2 nights in Plattsburgh in June, we will be coming from Niagara Falls and then head out to Montreal, so we decided to stay there for a couple of nights to rest and see some nature. Is there something you would recomend visiting on the way from Niagara to Plattsburgh or from Plattsburgh to Montreal? Thank you
I will be going this weekend. I don't fish, I don't do mountain climbing but I like to walk and was thinking along the lines of nice walks, hikes not too hard, I also saw Ausable Chasm, I see little floaties in some pictures, what are those for? Does anyone have information for boat rides? Why is Lake Placid so popular?
From what I have managed to find out:
1. There is NO ticket office at the Plattsburgh train station.
2. The only way for me to buy a ticket is online.
3. If I do buy online, the only way to get the actual ticket is having it mailed to me via regular mail!!! No such thing as an e-ticket!
4. Another option: Make a reservation up to 3 days in advance, receive a booking code, and pay the conductor on board (cash).
Is this for real??
While visiting Montreal, I plan to do some shopping in Plattsburgh - like I did about 4 years ago. What I'd like to know is if the GAP store in the big shopping mall still exists? I'm having trouble confirming this as the GAP web site does not list this store. Thank you.
Is there transportation from Plattsburgh airport to the ferry to Grand Isle, Vermont and back?
I'm from Canada and was planning on taking a day trip to Plattsburgh on Labor Day to stock up on school supplies (i.e.: Wal-Mart, Target, Champlain Centre).
Will they be open, or closed? Most stores here in Canada will be closed on that day, so I'm just making sure :) Thanks!
Hello guys and gals,
I am considering excepting an offer and making a move to Plattsburgh, and am wondering if anybody can give me a heads up on what's it like to live there. Is the downtown much, is it a good walking downtown with stuff to do, or is it all boarded up? Are there things to do for young professionals. Redneck drunks or cool people:) Any responses, good or bad, would be much appreciated. Thanks
