Trip Suggestions/tips/ advice/ things to see & do for the following itinerary will be much appreciated:
I am not really keen to visit a zoo/animal park, adventure rides/adrenaline challenges, hiking/(bush)walking too long (i.e. greater than 10-12 km return) trails.
I do enjoy nature, bit of museum visits, visiting historic sites & learning/cultural centres, gentle hiking,(bush)walking upto 10km, visiting small towns & cities, wineries, eateries, beaches, short climbs, scenic drives.

We are working at Tipplers Camp Ground and hoping to stay at Couran Cove - Is it possible to bike between these two places? Are all the camp grounds/accommodation connected by bike tracks? Trying to find a map with the bike trails marked on it but haven't found one yet! Thank you !!
I plan to drive from Perth to Broome and visit several spots: Pinnacle desert, Kalbarri NP, Monkey Mia and Shark Bay, Exmouth and coral bay, Karijini NP up to Broome where we plan to visit Cape leveque and Bungle Bungles on a guided tour
Just Wonder if that is possible with a campervan cause I'm not an expert in 4WD driving. I did mereenie loop road in 2011 but that was not difficult at all
Hi, I am a first time traveller to GC (all the way from asia). All the accomadation i checked need to pay for extra bed fr a 2 yr old kid. i wud be travelling with a large grup about 6 adults + 1 kid (2yr old) so its abit pricey wen we book a 3 bedroom apartment. So is it possible to just bring in the kid without actually registering the kid while we do the booking? Back in our place, we just book the apartments per the adults headcount, we dont actually count the kids. but since we wud be travelling far, we dont want to have any problems later on.
(i know this Q sounds weird, but thanks in advance)
We have a change of plans because thanks to helpful VTs members, we found out the Blue Mountains is still good to visit despite the forest fire. We am thinking of going directly there from the airport. The cost of a regular return train ticket from the International Airport to Katoomba is $41.40 including airport access fee. I believe it should be more economical for us then, to buy a MyMulti 3 weekly pass that costs $61 + $12.30 (single Gatepass) =$73.30 per person & use it for the journey to & from the Blue Mountains as well as in Sydney for a week. MyMulti 3 pass would be very useful for moving around Sydney, wouldn't it?
Hi everyone, At home I go to a western Buddhist centre and meditate and do yoga. Can anyone tell me of any good meditation sessions in Perth? I have had a little look at Buddhist Centre Websites but wondered what peoples experience of them was? Also interested in Non-Buddhist meditation groups/sessions. I have had a look on meet up but there are no dates set while I am in perth for any such meet ups. Would really appreciate your help have a good day,k
Hi, thanks to all who have offered me tips to my earlier question. Unfortunately, I have booked lodgings in Sydney for my whole trip. Not sure if I can cancel it for an overnight stay in Blue Mountains since I will be in Sydney 8 days from now. So I am thinking of a one-day trip. Please suggest an itinerary if I go via (a) train (b) self-drive. In case I can cancel, please suggest a 2-day itinerary too.TQ!
I'm planning a working holiday next year, leaving in May/June. However, i have found all the information about cheap flights, working visas, finding a job etc but nothing about accommodation? I'm confused as to how all these companies propose i find somewhere? Surely i can't just travel to Australia for a year and just hope to find somewhere?
We 'll be 2 people, we hire a car in Airlie Beach and are planning to head north from the 17th to 22nd of december.
Do you have suggestions ?
I am thinking about stopping in Townsville area (free campsite, should I book? ) I herad there are beaches good for snorkeling (but maybe not in dec as there are jellyfishes?)
Then I'd like to go to the waterfalls (Mulla Mulla), stroll in Daintree forest, around Port Douglas...
Don't particularly want to stay long in Cainrs (wee'll be there almost a day in the end, after car dropping off).
Are there free campsites in Cairns , Port Douglas area, in the parks ?
Do you think the heat makes it hard to sleep in a tent at this time ?
We are not planning on going to the Greatt Barrier Reef there, as we'll have been in the whitsundays islands and outer reef.
Thank you so much in advance for you advices !
