Hi, I am travelling to Torino next week for 4 days. We are planning to stay 2 days in Torino, 1 day in Milan and I would like to find another place where to spend my last day. I would like somewhere near the mountains maybe or a village with small narrow streets and small typical shops. Can anyone suggest a place close to Turin pls? What about Aosta, is it easily reached from Torino by train? and when we're there can we make it around on foot?
What is the best eatery to enjoy a hearty meal with locals? Nothing fancy please!
My husband and I are flying from JFK to Linate and don't know which lake to stay at. We are in our
late 70s and fit, although I have difficulty climbing steep hills., but in general I have no limitations.
I was sold on Maggiore until I started reading reviews that Orta was charming and romantic and now
I'm confused. We stayed in Como a couple of years ago and loved it. Would you recommend staying
2 nights in each as a compromise? We like good food, Villa Crespi has some good specials but the
prices are a tad steep and I wonder if it's worth it. Would it be smarter to stay in town and have the
restaurants close by? We will have a car and we're used to driving all over Italy...we have been in the
country quite a bit and love everything about it. I want to go to the factory outlets and have read about
the Lora Piana and Colombo Cashmere and Alessi as places to shop. Any comments about any of this
will be very much appreciated! And I thank you in advance! We are going to be there from Sept. 10-14
and wonder about the weather as well. lorac yellamo

I'm headed to Asti for the Palio this fall. Right now, I am planning on traveling light, as I find it is more fun to "shop" for some clothes during my trip (that not being the sole purpose!). I am wondering if there are any recommendations for clothing stores in the city, or if there are any outlets nearby. Thanks in advance!

Our womens' soccer team is going to participate in soccer/football at the World Masters Games in Torino in August 2013. As we will be going to and from games and to other events around the city, we would like to look into renting a small bus for the week - probably seating in the 24 person range. We do have our own driver with the appropriate licensing. We did this 4 years ago in Australia. Any suggestions on options for rentals for this - company names?
