Transfer SR - Bangkok

by Dejan_SLO Online Now Jul 27, 2006 at 4:07 AM

Did anyone have any experience in traveling from SR to Bangkok by bus? I am currently in SR and I found different companies that offer the ride from10 to15. The length of trip also varies - from 9h to 12h. If anyone can recommend or give some information on that topic, I would deeply appreciate it.

Thank you and regards from Cambodia.

I've never done the bus, but I've taken one of those Toyota taxis from SR to the border. That part of the trip usually takes 3-4 hours, depending upon the condition of the road. But...with rainy season now in full swing the road could be worse and travel time could be longer. From the border you can take a tuk-tuk (50 baht) to the bus station at Aranyapratet. The AC bus to Bangkok will take another 4-5 hours and the cost is less than 200 baht.
