      about a holiday to Phuket

by mariahc1 Online Now Apr 18, 2014 at 12:08 AM

Hello, my husband and I are planning to spend a week in Phuket in July. I have a few questions to ask and I would appreciate early answers so I can book our tickets:-)

      1. We found the trip through a travel agency but it cost 1000 euros more than if we book it on our own. Is it that difficult to do that without a group and a guide? (I don't think so but anyway).
      2. What about visas to Thailand? How do we arrange that?
      3. Do we have to go to Bangkok and then to Phuket? We found a cheap ticket (stop at Jordan and then to Phuket straight). Isn't it better?
      4. The airport is close to which beach? I realize that there are various beaches (depending on your taste). Which one is closer to the airport? Or is that a trivial matter?
      5. Is going to the other islands expensive? Is food expensive? I mean, as a holiday in general, does it require a lot of pocket money? We want to see the islands and do activities but not to shop.

Well, I hope I haven't forgotten anything. If I do, I'll post some more questions :-)
      Thank you for your time.

1st time in Phuket at end of June for 9 nights.

by RamkrishnaPaul Online Now Mar 16, 2014 at 7:57 PM

We are traveling to Phuket in late June. We are curious to know of some good things to do and where to do them. We need ur help to give us a suggestion what we must do in Phuket and phi phi Island during this time of year.

Me and my wife, we both love water sports, beach, forest, mountains, adventure, and shopping.

We thought, first 2 nights at kata or patong beach, then 5 nights( may split in 2 or 3 hotels) in phi phi island ( in different hotels or resort to see all over the island and get different places exp) and last 2 night at patong for shopping, and other things(not sure).

On the way back we also stopping 3 nights at Singapore.

Thanks in advance for kind of your suggestion and tips.

Pls guide for preference of island tour

We have our tickets booked and shall have 3 days in Phuket. I don't wish to move around quick and touch everything rather would go to one place and enjoy it thouroughly.

Kindly guide on which island should be preferred and the reason for the same: Phi Phi or Phang Nga Bay??

Also which place would support sea-kayaking more? We all are very interested to do it again (we did it in Goa and we all loved it)

Would love to hear personal experiences if any about both and which among them is good for night stay? If you have your views for only day trip to these places I would appreciate it if you can explain why?
