you have chosen the wrong time. Then it is Songkran=Thai new year, the famous water-splashing festival, when most transport is fully booked an Thailand goes on travel en-masse. Best advice is to stay in some hoStel and make friends there-if anyone is around.

thanks for your suggestion I have already booked all the flight tickets and hotel in advance ,so don`t worry. But I don`t know water splashing festival is at this time.If it is,I really want to join in the crazy carnival.

Hi there, I'm doing backpacking (solo) for the month of april. I'm spending my first week in bangkok but do not have any plans yet for the rest of the weeks. Phuket did came to my mind though and I'm still contemplating between that or krabi or going to Cambodia instead. Which part of Phuket will you be at? i've been to phuket before once and i stayed at the patong area.

we mainly stay on patong patong beach,during those days ,we want to book a travel to similan island,pp island,and Phang Nga Bay.If it is possible ,we can travel together and that will be great!

Songkran or water festival in Phuket falls on 13-15 Apr. Normally the hotel at this time will normally full so you need to make sure you have a room before head to Phuket that time. I had been there during Songkran and it was so much fun.
