      Shared Apartment

      Melbourne Apr 24, 2013 at 5:15 AM

Hi there. I'm due to touch down in Melbourne in under 2 weeks. I just wanted some opionions or what would we be best when it came to apartment searching? Would going direct to real estate agents be the best way? Does anybody have any safe/trustworthy websites they can recommend? My girlfiend had been looking on flatmates.com.au but she has her suspisions as the apartments and prices look to good to be true. Can anybody verify whether or not this is a trustworty website.

      Thanks in advance.

      A London Girl Hitting Melbourne

      Melbourne May 11, 2013 at 10:28 AM

      Hey everyone, I'm Sophie
I'm new to all of this but its just a quick question.
I'm 21 from London i will be studying in Melbourne City for 7 months. And i'm unsure of where to stay for accommodation obviously i'm on a cheap budget and can't be spending $250 per week which is what is coming up. Does anyone know of any student(ish) areas.
Also a-lot of the room rentals sound really bloody boring i may-be 21 and doing my final year, but i still have a life and want to socialise :D. Many of the rooms offered want boring people at the sounds of it. I want to know if anyone knows of a student website for international students travelling to Australia to have a chat and get to meet new people. I want to take full advantage of being Australia not pitched up in a room full of people that can't be bothered to talk! We only live once and i intend on getting the most out of my stay. HELP PEOPLE!!!!! :)

    • Great Ocean Road - Tour & Philip's Island - Own?

by ErinTomatoes Online Now Nov 17, 2010 at 10:43 AM

Hi everyone, I was wondering what you thought of taking a Great Ocean Road tour? I cannot drive, so I figure this is the best way to do it. Some tours combine this with Philip's Island: yttours.com/www/great_ocean_... ...which I was planning on doing anyways. Would you recommend a Philip's Island Tour, or would you say that it's easy and maybe more fun to do it on your own? I'm not usually the tour-girl type, but it sounds like a decent way to see a lot of Philip's Island. The other option was to just do a tour of the Great Ocean Road and then do Philips on my own. YTTours only had one review, so I feel hesitant - however they offer an overnight option which might be great GoWest doesn't have an overnight option - but has the most trusted reviews Lastly, there is Bunyip which also combines Wilsons Promontory bunyiptours.com/phillip-isla... Any input would be appreciated!

      Places to stay

by CTandCR Online Now Aug 18, 2005 at 5:18 PM

My friend and I will be traveling to Phillip Island for three weeks during October for work experience. We need somewhere cheap but comfortable to stay during this time. We will have to study whilst we are there, so somewhere that has a table and chairs is necessary. We have looked on the internet but have only found places that are more than100 per night. This is too much for our very limited budget. Can anybody give us any ideas about where to look for something cheaper. Thanks for your help Caroline
