hello, are you talking about the takatuka lodge in sipalay, negros? i have been there for 5 days. and i have to say it is heaven. it is very remote and the only way to get there is via banka. but they have great food and they offer divecourses and dive trips. for the rest of the village..... there is not much. you can mail me if you like... moniquehamels@yahoo.com monique

We are also putting Sipalay in our itinery of place to visit sometime in the summer and it seem takatuka (from lonely planet) is nicer ,it's a quieter beach and nice sunset we wanted. I am not bothered on pictures posted at googles,it's the kind of new experience we look forward to , we'll see. If your friend prefers raving and night life ,I guess Sipalay isn't for him,it doesn't seem to have nightlife .It's not that far from dumaguete either (4 hours, because any chance of shortcut trip isn't possible ,could be only over an hour to dumaguete if there's road that cut across )or in Apo island where diving is known to be good. It's just we are very curious on this area in the occidental side of Negros.
