Interesting/Unique Bathrooms in Philadelphia?

by bbrenner23 Online Now Jan 8, 2012 at 2:29 PM

Hey guys - I'm doing some research for an art project and I'm curious if anyone can help me find some not-so-ordinary bathrooms to visit. They can be anywhere in the city, but preferably downtown somewhere. I know this is a unique request, but any help would be appreciated, thanks!

At first flush the only thing I could think of was the National Mechanics Building in Philadelphia. The building was built in the early 1800's and one of the bathrooms is unique. The building is now a bar and restaurant. It is located on S. 3rd Street.

Too bad you are not in California. The Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo is the king of crazy bathrooms and rooms.

For a good hotel but not with any interesting restrooms I recommend the Alexander Inn in downtown Philly.

The Magic Gardens bathroom is just as unique and special as the rest of the Museum/Garden complex. It's on South Street at 10th.
