Taxi cost from Amman Airport to Petra

Please could someone inform how much is the Taxi cost from Amman Airport to Petra, if anyone has travelled recently. Also is it safe?

    68 JOD set fare at the airport. Yes, it is safe. Just beware of "helpers" who will offer a taxi then do nothing more than take you to the taxi stand and want a tip. The taxi driver will want a tip too. It's best if you have exact change as getting all the change you want back from the taxi driver isn't always easy!
