Writing to any public office in Italy you can replace any registrated mail by P.E.C. which means Posta Elettronica Certificata in English certified electronic mail but it different form the one used in the USA from AOL, AT&T, Cox, Road Verizon, Yahoo, xxxx, yyy, zzzz it really works like a registrated letter but it's electronic, you save paper, time, no need to go to Post Office and it works 24/7/365.
