Hi Thomas. I haven't stayed there but it is at the big Burswood Casino and half way between the airport and Perth City. It is pretty flash and has loads of luxurious additions. Public transport into Perth is easy by either bus or mini fake red tram. Given a choice, I would stay right in Perth. My choice would be the Rydges - rydges.com/hotel/RWPERT/Rydg... Or the Duxton - http://www.duxtonhotels.com/perth/ And if you would like to meet some locals while you are here, then you are welcome to flick me an email here on vt and I will see what I can arrange :o) Cheers, Ann.

I too would choose to stay at the centre (unless you are so keen on gambling you need to stay at Burswood). I've stayed at the Holiday Inn and found it very good. (more detials on my pages)

Is there any reason why you are staying here..? We have stayed here quite a few times and it is very nice..comparable to other Intercontinental throughout the world...not the best or worst.. The only reason I ask is that it is not in the middle of the CBD as others have said..small indoor heated pool, Gym ok, nice outdoor (not heated)pool, usual buffet breakfast and dinner..not the same buffet quality as other Intercontinentals I have stayed at but good. Some top quality restaurants in the complex but you would have to book ahead eg. Rockpool. Astronomical prices for wine!!!
