Hi, My wife and I are travelling to Penang in August and I want to sail if possible. Can anyone tell me if there are any places in Penang to hire a cat, mono hull or small boat to get on the water? I have come across this place called East Wind Water sports Pvt. Ltd. In Batu Ferringhi. I have read that there is not a lot of wind, is this common in this area as I have looked at the weather forecasts and there is wind forecast. Any input will be appreciated.
Strong steady winds are not common in Penang. It's mostly calm but then the wind will pick up when you have a thunderstorm which is fairly common. I am actually sitting in Penang now but do not know about the company you mention, but i ight be able to find out about it in the morning.
