What is the quickest and safest way of travel/transportation from Penang to Butterworth?
Simple, take a ferry. Just catch a bus to Jetty and walk to the terminal to board the ferry, But after your destination at Butterworth where do you want to visit or your purpose.

Like the previosu poster says, you should just take the ferry across from Georgetown to Butterworth. The ferry docks by the train and bus station and i have a feeling that this is where you want to go anyway as most people just travel quickly through Butterworth.

The quickest and safest way is by taxi. But it is not the cheapest..
