I just wanted to know if there are any tennis courts in Santorini that are independent i.e. not attached to any hotel and open to public. We are staying in Fira for a week. If there are any, do they provide racquets to adults and kids?

Hi! I wld be going down to Chania for a short break during our Crete vacation in early June. While we wld be spending most of our time in Heraklion, Chania seems to be a good option to check out for a couple of days (specially interested in going to Elliphonisi Beach). I need some help in figuring out a great place to stay in Chania (maybe overlooking the harbour). There'll be 3 of us (12-yr old son, wife & I) and our budget is approx. E150 per night.
Has anyone stayed at Yakinthos hotel, and can give me any information on the area, and the hotel. Thank you.

My wife and I are fortunate enough to have 3 weeks to spend in Crete this coming summer; woot!
Our main interests are; 1) Seeing historical sites; 2) Enjoying charming towns and good tavernas; and 3) Seeing the ocean.
That said, we are at a quandary regarding where to stay. We do NOT want to move around every few days, so have come up with a few options:
1) Spend 1 week in Sitia, seeing the eastern part of the island; Spend 1 week in Rethymno; Spend 1 week in Chania....and of course, a couple nights Iraklion to fly in and out and see Knossos.
2) Spend 1.5 weeks in Rethymno; and 1.5 weeks in Chania
3) Spend 1.5 weeks in Chania OR Rethymno; spend 1.5 weeks somewhere in the south.
So.... what does everybody think?

Hello . I will be arriving in Naxos on 4th May 2013 ,Easter Saturday . I am staying in Agia Anna . Will there be any shops open so I can buy water & basic groceries . Also I read about a farmers market just outside Chora , how often is this on ?

I would like to know how people travel in and around Athens, Greece? Can we rent a car and drive around or their train system or metro is as good as Italy or any other European countries. Can we take some day trips to Greek Islands? Any suggested ferries websites? Any info on Greek travel would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I am looking for accommodation which offers half board, is suitable for 2 elderly ladies (early 70s but still mobile) in Pefkos or very nearby. ideally somewhere that isnt up a hill. There dont seem to be many places offering half board from what I can see....? Thanks Donna

Hi there. I sent a mail around about Pefkos accommodation a while back and have written town Tzina Studios as the one I woudl like to stay in. However, I was just wondering. Are there any villas in Pefkos to stay in? I fancy a private villa with a little pool (can be size of a puddle - I do not care!) :) Just wondeing if anyone knows of any villas at all. Hi there. I am going to Pefkos hopefully on the first or seconfd week of september for a week. I've been before and stayed at the Chysanthi studios. Althoguht I was certainly not disappointed last time, I fancy something different this time but it's been about 4 years since I went. Can anyone recommend a nice place to stay? Preferably in the middle of Pefkos and not too high up (I can forsee myself stumbling back after a few too many ouzo's and going uphill would not be fun!) :) , self catering, doesn't have to have a pool or anything like that since I much prefer the sea :) Any help would be appreciated.
