Hello VT Gang! I am planning a one-day trip from Paris to the Loire Valley and need your advice. My plan is: 1) Drive early morning from Paris to CHENONCEAU to see the beautiful castle; 2) Visit a special wine cave (like in VOUVRAY or CHINON), arriving in late afternoon for a tour; 3) Finishing the day at La Peniche in BLOIS, which is a restaurant located on a barge right on the river--for eating fresh fish and enjoying the sundown. Is this too much for one day? I'm not sure how far away are the towns I've mentioned (driving times?). Also, if there is a convenient but special wine estate between CHENONCEAU and BLOIS that you can recommend, please let me know. We like RED WINE and SPARKLING WHITE, but not regular white wine. Thank you so much, Betty (NYC)
